Valentine's Day in the forest: five ideas for taking your time

Valentine's decorations on the mezzanine

Valentine's Day doesn't need a crowded restaurant. Here are five simple ideas for time together in the forest, by the fireplace and in the spa.

A romantic weekend can become a lot to organise: a restaurant, photos, a special activity and the wish for everything to be perfect.

In the forest, you can keep things simple and leave more time for each other.

1. A walk without a destination

You don't need an ambitious route. Follow a forest road and turn back when you fancy coffee and the fireplace.

After dark, take a torch, stay on safe paths and follow signs and local rules.

2. A warm evening in the forest spa

Cool air and warm water are especially enjoyable in winter. The forest spa at Osada LoveLaski is shared by all four cabins.

The hot tub is included and needs no booking. The sauna is booked in advance. A shared space can still be peaceful when everyone is considerate.

3. A letter on paper

A handwritten note can feel wonderfully personal. All it takes is paper, a pen and a little time.

Write a few lines about what you appreciate and what you want to remember from the past year. Read them now, agree a day to open them or take them home.

4. Dinner in your cabin

Each cabin has an equipped kitchen. A simple meal made together leaves you free to linger at the table.

When conditions allow, use the shared brick barbecue or campfire area. Current safety rules always apply.

5. A screen-free date

Try one hour without screens. Leave your devices elsewhere, play a prepared playlist or listen to the fire.

The first few minutes may feel unusually quiet. Then there is often room for a conversation you haven't had time for at home.

Your Valentine's Day needn't be on 14 February

A quiet weekend for two can be a week earlier, a month later or an ordinary Monday. Time without interruption matters more than the date.

Osada LoveLaski welcomes guests aged 15 and over, making it a setting for an anniversary, a quiet couple's trip or a gift of two nights together.
